What Is Block 1 in Stream 1?
Block 1 is the first enrollment period for new learners, open from
March 16 to September 15, 2025. It allows students to prepare for the April-May 2026 exams.

Eligibility Criteria for Stream 1 Block 1
- Secondary Course (Class 10): Must have passed Class 8 or self-certify eligibility. Minimum age: 14 years as of the exam’s first day. 14 saal ki umar aur 8th pass chahiye.
- Senior Secondary Course (Class 12): Must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board. Minimum age: 15 years as of the exam’s first day. 10th pass aur 15 saal ki umar zaroori hai.

NIOS Exam Pattern & Certification
Exam Pattern
Exams occur twice yearly (April-May and October-November). Theory exams last 3 hours. Practical exams are held at Accredited Institutions (AIs). Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) carry 20% weightage.

Certification
- Minimum Subjects: Choose 5 subjects (1-2 languages mandatory).
- Passing Marks: Minimum 33% in theory, practical, and TMA (if applicable).

- TMA Submission: Starts December 1, 2025, ends January 2026. TMAs contribute 20% to final marks. TMA December 1 se shuru, January tak submit karo.
- PCP Classes: February to March 2026. Attend for better preparation. PCP classes Feb se March tak.
- Practical Exams: Start March 15, 2026, at designated centers. Mandatory for science subjects. Practical 15 March se shuru.
- Theory Exams: Start April 2026. Datesheet available closer to the date. Theory April se shuru hoga.
Results
Class 12 results expected around June 20, 2026. Class 10 results expected in the first week of July 2026.
