Stream 1 - Block 1 (April/May Exams)
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts public examinations for Class 10th (Secondary) and Class 12th (Senior Secondary) in April/May each year under Stream 1, Block 1. Stream 1 - Block 2 (October/November Exams)
NIOS conducts public examinations for Stream 1, Block 2 in October/November annually, with results typically declared in January of the following year. Practical exams are held in September, followed by theory exams in October/November.

NIOS On-Demand Examination Results
NIOS offers On-Demand Examinations (ODE) for Secondary and Senior Secondary students throughout the year, allowing flexibility to appear for exams at their convenience. Results are typically declared within 6-8 weeks after the exam date.

NIOS Admissions
Admission Schedule
Starting from the 2025-26 session, NIOS admissions for Stream 1 are open year-round (24x7). For Stream 2, last date extended to 31 July 2025.
- Stream 1 (Public Exams): Year-round admissions for both blocks.
- Stream 2 (For failed students): Extended to 31/07/2025 for current cycle.
- On-Demand Exams: Admissions open year-round for eligible students.

Documents Required for Admission
- Class 10th:
- Birth certificate or passport (minimum age: 14 years).
- Class 8th marksheet or self-certificate.
- Address proof (Aadhaar, voter ID, etc.).
- Passport-size photographs.
- Transfer certificate (if applicable).
- Caste/disability certificate (if applicable).
- Class 12th:
- Class 10th pass certificate/marksheet.

- Enter your enrollment number and captcha code.
- Submit to view your result.
- Download and print for future reference.
SMS Method
- Open your SMS app.
- Type NIOS10 <roll number> for Class 10th or NIOS12 <roll number> for Class 12th.
- Send to 5676750.
- Receive your result via SMS.
Download NIOS Marksheet
- Go to results.nios.ac.in.
- Navigate to "Learners Corner" or "Results."
- Select "Secondary" or "Senior Secondary."
- Enter your enrollment number.
- Click "Submit" to view and download your marksheet.

NIOS Revaluation
Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation within 15 days of the result declaration at nios.ac.in. Revaluation is available for Class 12th students only, with results updated within 60 days.
